Ashley McBryde’s Sophomore Album Will Feature a Song About Her Late Brother
Apart from the musical direction of her yet-to-be-titled upcoming new album, McBryde opened up and shared that an emotional and very personal song was penned for her late brother, Clay, who passed in June 2018. The 53-year-old had was an Iraq war veteran and an officer with the Russellville Police Department for 25 years. “Two Birds, One Stone” was penned with frequent collaborator Nicolette Hayford, who shares in the experience of losing a sibling with McBryde. “If anybody can write about something gnarly and sad, we can probably find a way to do that in a positive way. Miranda Lambert returns to the road this fall on the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour 2019 – and she’s bringing a heavyweight roster of female powerhouses along for the ride. Ashley wins ACM New Female Vocalist of the Year Award
Winners in three categories have been named ahead of the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards, which takes place Sunday, April 7th in Las Vegas. Taking home the respective trophies for New Male Vocalist, New Female Vocalist and New Group/Duo are performers Luke Combs, Ashley Mcbryde, and Lanco, who will perform on the show. Ashley to perform during CMA Fest 2019
Newly emerging artists will perform during the daytime on the Chevy Riverfront Stage, including Carly Pearce, Morgan Wallen and Ashley McBryde. Other performers set for the Riverfront Stage include A Thousand Horses, Devin Dawson, Danielle Bradbery, Mason Ramsey, Cassdee Pope, Michael Ray and Runaway June. CMA Fest runs Thursday, June 6th, through Sunday, June 9th, in Nashville. Proceeds from ticket sales help benefit the CMA Foundation and its goal of funding music education programs in the United States.
