Cassadee Pope, Jimmie Allen, & More to Lead Thousands Oak Benefit Concert
Several in Nashville’s artist community will unite on Feb. 11 in Thousand Oaks, California, for an evening of music, titled ACM Lifting Lives Presents: Borderline Strong. The event aims to support victims and families of the shooting that occurred at Borderline Bar & Grill on Nov. 7, 2018; the shooting killed 12 people and injured approximately 15 others. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Conejo Valley Victim’s Fund. Hosted by Charles Esten, the one-night-only concert will feature Trace Adkins, Jimmie Allen, Charles Esten, Cassadee Pope, Tyler Rich, Runaway June and more to be announced at the Fred Kavli Theatre in the Thousand Oaks Civic Center. “We are deeply grateful to ACM Lifting Lives for standing with the victims and survivors of this devastating tragedy. While we know that financial support cannot begin to alleviate the pain of this horrific event, we hope these funds will offer some basic aid and support during these difficult times of transition and recovery. Thank you to everyone working to ensure that those touched by this tragedy are assisted in every way possible,” said Vanessa Bechtel, President & CEO of the Ventura County Community Foundation. “ACM Lifting Lives is honored to present this evening to raise much needed dollars for all directly impacted by this tragedy,” said Lyndsay Cruz, Executive Director of ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music. “Our family of country music artists and industry representatives will always respond to the call for help during these times of need. We look forward to this very special evening where we can, once again, experience first-hand the healing power of music which is at the core of the ACM Lifting Lives mission.”

Cassadee Pope Announces New Album, ‘Stages’
The past year has been one of growth for Cassadee Pope, who dove head first into creating a slew of new, personal music for fans. After giving fans a preview of what she’s been working on with “Take You Home” and “One More Red Light,” the songstress is ready to release a full-length album called Stages. “It’s a validating feeling to look back at a painful moment, and see how I was able to put the pieces back together and come back stronger,” Cassadee reveals of the record that covers an array of topics, from love, heartbreak, loss and obstacles. “For the first time in my life, I’m confident in the way I navigate things thrown my way, and I hope someone listening finds the same strength.” Set for release on February 1, the project will include 11 songs, two of which feature some of her famous friends (Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney on “If My Heart Had a Heart,” RaeLynn, Lindsay Ell and Lauren Alaina on “Distracted”). Stages is Pope’s first full-length project since 2013’s Frame By Frame. Pope will take the new tunes out on the road as the headliner for this year’s CMT’s 2019 Next Women of Country Tour, which kicks off in April. Dates Announced For CMT’s Next Women of Country 2019
Tour dates have been announced for the 2019 CMT Next Women of Country Tour, featuring headliner Cassadee Pope. The 11-date tour will launch April 11 in Tampa, Florida, and will also feature openers and fellow Next Women of Country members Clare Dunn and Hannah Ellis. She is working on her upcoming second album, slated to release in 2019. The campaign showcases emerging female artists across all CMT screens throughout the year, and in five years since its launch, CMT has expanded the initiative to include five CMT Next Women of Country Tours, anchored by superstar acts including Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and Sara Evans, a CMT.com digital series, Next Women of Country Live, and more. VIP Packages for the CMT Next Women of Country Tour will become available Friday (Nov. 30).
