Eric Paslay‘s “Friday Night” plans involve diapers for the foreseeable future.The Grammy-nominated country artist and his wife Natalie are first-time parents to a baby girl they welcomed on Saturday, Dec. 8, in Nashville, Tennessee, his rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. Piper Lily Paslay was born at 9:37 a.m., measuring 19 inches long and weighing in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. “It took three days for us to name her! We needed to get to know our baby girl before we could choose,” the couple tell PEOPLE exclusively. “After getting many smiles and much laughter from all her cute little sounds and squeaks, Piper suddenly fell into place and seemed right for her. Her middle name came a little easier. Lily is a derivative of Elizabeth, who was Mary’s cousin and the mother of John the Baptist. It also happens to be Natalie’s favorite flower!”

Justin Moore announced a handful of new tour dates for 2019, including multiple stops in the Midwest. Cody Johnson, Eric Paslay and Riley Green will serve as the openers during various stops. Eric drops off musical instruments to a local Cincinnati School
Eric Paslay was in Cincinnati on Wednesday (May 2nd) on behalf of the CMA Foundation. He, along with Sara Evans, Trent Harmon and songwriter Rob Hatch, were able to pass out instruments to children. He tweeted a video and said, “inspiring to see schools and teachers that care so much for their students and music education!”

Eric Paslay on His Struggle with Diabetes
Eric Paslay is opening up about living with diabetes. The singer, who diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 10 after his grandmother – a nurse’s assistant – noticed his excessive thirst, says “he didn’t freak out” when he got the news because “everyone around him stayed calm.” However, managing the disease and being a traveling musician has occasionally been a challenge.
“As a kid I definitely had a few seizures. Having a really low blood sugar level, you wake up and you’re just like, ‘What happened?’ You just feel like a fool,” Paslay, now 33, tells PEOPLE. “It’s this delicate balance of keeping a good blood sugar level. And yeah, I’ve definitely had scary moments on stage where there’s been some random, mumbled, made-up words as I’m just searching for energy to stay awake.” Continue to read the full story HERE.
